2024 International Open call for Independent curator

 

With the aim of encouraging curatorial research, Sunblanket Foundation is looking for independent curators to program and realize contemporary art exhibitions that open up new formal and discursive possibilities for art project. Sunblanket Foundation is likely to support curators dedicated to emerging art, an international stage where the critical debate between different realities is enhanced.

A selected Curator will receive around USD 16,000 worth of support throughout the foundation.

-  Project Planning Fees : USD 4,000

-  Renting Venue Fees : USD 11,500 

   (1^st/2^nd floor rent per month, Foundation own)

-  Promotion Fees : USD 500 (Press support)

 

Proposals are evaluated on merit of project, singularity of concept, and adherence to the application guidelines.

 

CONDITIONS FOR PROPOSED PROJECT

Visual Art Projects that already have been shown will be excluded.

 

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

This is opened to all curators, The CALL is open to proposals by a single curator or by a Curatorial Collective.

it is crucial that participants keep us informed about the development and realization of the proposed projects.

   - 햇빛담요재단은 큐레이터 연구를 장려하고 새로운 형식과 담론을 모색하는 프로젝트를 기획할 진취적인 독립 큐레이터를 찾고 있습니다.  

   - 햇빛담요재단은 비평이 강화되는 국제미술계에서 활동하며, 이머징 아트에 집중하는 큐레이터를 지원하고자 합니다. 

   - 선정자(개인 혹은 팀)는 프로젝트의 구현을 위해 16,000USD 상당의 지원을 받게 됩니다.

   - 제안서는 프로젝트의 장점, 개념의 독창성 및 공모 지침 준수 여부 등을 고려하여 평가될 예정입니다.

   - 선정 이후, 제안된 프로젝트의 실현 가능성에 영향을 미치는
